Pysanky, Ukrainian Eggs, are an ancient art form. Here you will find traditional as well as contemporary designs, all made by traditional methods using beeswax and dye. Most designs can be done on all sizes of eggshells; custom design requests are welcome. I have been creating designs on eggs for over 25 years. At first the designs were all traditional. Now they are a mixture of traditional and contemporary-those designs of my own.

Although traditional designs are wonderful and full of meaning, I now enjoy putting my own designs on eggs of different sizes and an usually pleased at how they turn out.

Naturally, I have many more designs than I have time to execute. I also am very excited about working out someone else's idea about a particular design for a special occasion. I have files and folders full of ideas, sketches and notes--well, you know how it is with ideas! Please browse through the different pages and see the designs. I have many more available than are on these pages; what you see here are just a small example of the type of egg designs that can be done.

All eggs are packed in tissue inside a white gift box. They will be mailed USPS Priority Insured.


These are three views of the same goose egg. It is my own design I have named Watercolor Irises . I paint the flowers just as if they were watercolors in order to get the subtle shadings. I have also done this design on a chicken egg by request and am planning an ostrich egg.

All of these designs, and more, are available on any size of eggshell. These are to let you see what they might look like on different sizes. Most eggs are "Made to Order" and require time to create but some are ready to ship-please inquire.
